The Cloud MLM Software migration checklist walks through the staged cutover from a legacy MLM platform: data extraction, commission parity testing, integration rewiring, and distributor communications.
Move from legacy platforms to Cloud MLM Software with confidence and a staged, reliable cutover.
Follow our enterprise migration checklist to coordinate data, integrations, and people so your distributors keep earning through the transition.
Since 2015 Cloud MLM Software has shipped the full Laravel source code under a one-time licence from USD 750, so a migrated platform can be self-hosted in your own custody.
What this checklist contains
The numbers below are counted from the items on this page, not from a sales deck.
Timelines depend on how much data you carry and how many integrations move with you, so we size the window during the assessment rather than quoting one here. How the migration service works
Migration pillars
Anchor the programme around the three things that decide whether a cutover is calm or chaotic.
Align stakeholders, risks, and milestones with a governed migration office that keeps every workstream accountable.
- Steering cadence with executive and field leaders
- Risk registry, mitigation plans, and decision log
- Compliance checkpoints for legal, tax, and privacy
Transform, cleanse, and reconcile legacy records with validation steps that surface problems before go-live, not after.
- Source-to-target mapping with lineage tracking
- Dedupe, enrichment, and exception queues
- Parallel reconciliation and audit evidence exports
Run go-live from a rehearsed runbook with contingency plans and a named owner for every step of the window.
- Mock cutovers with timed execution windows
- Command centre staffing and escalation matrix
- Post-launch monitoring for incidents and adoption
Phased approach
The checklist maps to 4 stages, each with an exit condition your team signs off before the next one starts.
1 . Assess and plan
Capture business objectives, readiness, and technical debt to shape the migration blueprint.
- Stakeholder and systems discovery
- Gap analysis with target-state architecture
- Migration roadmap with success measures
2 . Transform and stage data
Normalize, cleanse, and stage legacy datasets with quality checks and written approvals.
- Source data profiling and remediation
- Schema mapping with field-level rules
- Iterative loads into staging environments
3 . Integrate and test
Connect downstream systems, run scenario testing, and validate readiness with business owners.
- API and batch integration verification
- User acceptance and regression testing
- Cutover rehearsal with rollback drills
4 . Cutover and stabilise
Execute the final migration, watch adoption, and hand ownership to your steady-state teams.
- Command centre operations and status updates
- Field communications and enablement
- Stabilisation sprints with reporting on agreed measures
Checklist coverage
Every checklist item rolls up into one of 4 workstreams, so owners, risks, and deliverables stay clear.
Every record travels with provenance, validation, and reconciliation artefacts.
- Source inventory with ownership and quality ratings
- Transformation catalog with reusable scripts
- Reconciliation scorecards shared with finance
APIs, batch jobs, and hosting environments are prepared before the switch-over, not during it.
- Connectivity tests for payment, tax, and CRM systems
- Performance baselines and capacity planning
- Failover and rollback strategy documentation
Corporate teams and field leaders get the training, communications, and support plans they need.
- Change impact assessment and persona mapping
- Enablement assets, FAQs, and coaching guides
- Support staffing and escalation routes for the first weeks
Compliance, tracking, and risk management run from day one of the migration.
- Control matrix aligned to audit requirements
- Issue, risk, and decision registers
- Status reporting to the programme office and executives

Frequently asked questions
Yes. The migration is staged: the legacy platform keeps running while data is loaded and reconciled in parallel, and the cutover happens on a scheduled window with a rollback option, so distributors keep earning through the transition.
Transfers are encrypted, access to migration environments is role-based, and staging data is kept separate from production. Cloud MLM Software does not claim SOC 2, ISO 27001, or PCI-DSS certification; the controls we do publish are listed on the security page.
A stabilisation period follows the cutover: agreed measures are monitored, incidents are worked through with your team, and the runbooks and mapping documents are handed over so your internal staff can operate the platform.
